Restaurants in Nice

Mediterranean cuisine has one of its favourite enclaves in the Côte d'Azur. Even though it has a reputation for being an expensive destination, it always has alternatives that are easier on the wallet. With French and Italian influences, the cheeses, baguettes, and fish dishes are specialties you shouldn't miss. We recommend socca –garbanzo flour pasta (Italian influence). We also recommend you take advantage of the bars and restaurants on the beach to try some of the gems they offer like white cassis, Saint-Honorat chardonnay, or a Bandol red wine.

La Casbah

A small family restaurant where you can try various types of couscous. Homemade semolina with vegetables and the lamb are its noteworthy main dishes. Don't leave without trying the Eastern sweets from the dessert menu.

3 rue du Docteur Balestre F - 06000 NICE

Mireille

This restaurant, located in the Italian part of Nice, is a simple example of fusion of local traditions. With Hispanic décor and Provencal influences, they have a menu with some surprises like paella (a unique dish).

19 boulevard Raimbaldi F - 06000 NICE

Stéphane Viano

A fashionable locale with a menu of local specialties reinterpreted by the chef, it is known for its spacious veranda with blue Provencal style chairs. Inside, a second room with vaulted ceilings plays with contrasting black and white decor.

26 r. Victor Hugo F - 06000 NICE

Aphrodite

The decor in this restaurant is a reflection of its cuisine: elegant, modern, and distinguished. The chef's personal touch and the layout of its tables across several salons make it a good selection for your visit to Nice.

10 boulevard Dubouchage F - 06000 NICE

Don't miss... in Nice

Nice is a big cultural city, rich with monuments. Climbing up the Cimiez hill, northeast of Nice, you'll be able to visit exceptional museums: The Matisse museum and the Marc Chagall museum. They both dominate the sea from the height of this hill where the ancient Roman ruins lay. Its restricted scene of olive trees is witness every summer to a prestigious jazz festival (Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Sarah Vaughan…).
